Donna Ann KirsteinApril 6, 1929 ~ July 9, 2017 (age 88)
Born April 6, 1929 at St. Michael’s Hospital in Stevens Point, WI to Laughlin and Lily Farris, Donna passed to the home of her Lord on Sunday, July 9, 2017. She loved her hometown and friends in Stevens Point; swimming at Red Bridge, tobogganing at Iverson Park, dancing at the casino in Waupaca. The Farris family moved to Wisconsin Rapids and began a new chapter in their life.
Donna played violin in her high school orchestra, soon adding the percussion, with Roger Horning’s direction; she loved the tympani, and played tympani with the University Symphony under the direction of Mr. Michotson in Steven’s Point.
Later moving to Wauwatosa, WI working for Allis Chalmers, she met and married Ronald Kirstein of Marathon (Wausau) WI in 1965.
Donna is survived by her husband of 52 years. Together they raised six children, Dan, D.G., Margie, Tom (Susan), Joe (Karen), and Jacki; eight grandchildren, Julie, Danny, Ashley, Anna, Josh, Zoe, Samantha and Johannes Kirstein; four great-grandchildren, Tyler, Joselyn, Josh and Jayden; and special friends, Jane Guse, Joan and Lyn Howard. Donna was preceded in death by her parents, and beloved grandson Josh M. Dawe. Dearly loved, but never forgotten are her beloved pets, Pat, Tina, KC, Kingy, Peewee, Nani, Tanya, Rosie, Putty, Gracie and Arthur, all of whom she prays to meet on the other side – and thanks them all for their love and comfort through the years.
Her happiest days were when her family was with her in a fun gathering.
