Jennifer E. Siegler, of Crystal Lake, passed away Sunday, July 2, 2017 at JourneyCare Hospice in Barrington, with family at her side. She was 47 years old.
Jennifer is survived by her husband Jeffrey Altman and their three children, John, Kate and Abby, as well as her mother Carrie Leece; her father Marvin Siegler; her brother Erik (Zdenka) Siegler; her in-laws John and Linda Altman; her sister-in-law Wendy (Lucien) Adams; her brother-in-law Andrew (Jeana) Altman; her nieces Samantha Altman and Lauren Adams and her nephews Luke Altman and Trey Adams.
Jennifer was born September 6, 1969 in Chicago, Illinois. At an early age she developed a love of traveling the world and experiencing life. After graduating from Benet Academy in Lisle, Illinois in 1987, Jennifer attended Marquette University, where her majors in French and Political Science offered her the opportunity to study in France. During this time she backpacked throughout Europe with friends, old and new. After completing her undergraduate studies in 1991, Jennifer attended The John Marshall Law School in Chicago, Illinois where she earned her Juris Doctor in 1995. During her career as an attorney, Jennifer built a successful practice forged upon hard work, skill and compassion. She was most proud of her three children, teaching them the importance of those principals, and encouraging them to experience and enjoy life and pursue their goals.
Friends are welcome to visit with Jennifer’s family on Friday, July 7, 2017 from 3-9 p.m. at Davenport Family Funeral Home and Crematory, 419 E Terra Cotta Ave (Rt. 176) Crystal Lake. The Funeral Mass will be held the following day, Saturday, July 8 at 10:00 a.m. with visitation beginning at 9:00 a.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 10307 Dundee Rd, Huntley. Burial will follow at Crystal Lake Memorial Park.
