Private family farewell and/or witnessing of cremation (limited to 8 people). Includes washing, grooming, other appropriate preparation of the body, and an upgraded First Step Cremation Casket. Please note that this service is available at the sole discretion of the funeral director and is not available in all cases (e.g. trauma, autopsy, cases of disease or extended delay in viewing from the time of death). Embalming may be required. Viewing will be conducted at the funeral home in a First Step Cremation Casket.

For a Private Farewell and/or Witnessing of Cremation after 5 p.m., add an additional $200

Davenport Crematory is licensed by the Illinois Environmental Protection Agency and is registered with the Comptroller’s Office of the State of Illinois. In order to ensure that your loved one received the same respect and care at the crematory as at the funeral home, the cremation process is only performed at our facility and by our certified and caring staff. What sets us apart from other funeral homes that offer cremation services is that your loved one never leaves our entrusted care. This is further assurance to you that the cremation will be accorded as you would wish.

We strive to exceed the requirements set forth in the Illinois Cremation Act. This law went into effect January 1, 1993 and states certain procedures be followed and specific criteria be met for each cremation performed.

We value and respect your loved one who you have placed in our care. The family of the deceased will receive all of the cremated remains: in the event that there is not enough capacity in the cremation urn to accommodate all the remains, the remainder will be placed in a separate receptacle and returned (along with the urn) to the family.

A 3% processing fee will be added to all credit card payments. Prices are effective October 11, 2023
