We’ve all heard of cremation, yet when people are introduced to the words direct cremation, they scratch their heads and wonder what this “direct” is all about. Fortunately, direct cremation is similar to the type of cremation that you probably had in mind, but with a little more to it than that. When someone passes, if they or their family have opted to have them directly cremated, then the process will begin almost immediately. Meaning that there will not be any type of funeral service afforded to the family, as the body is immediately cremated soon after death.
