Farming Rural 19

Sandra L. Molyneux

October 4, 1939 ~ July 28, 2019 (age 79)

Sandra L. Molyneux, 79, of Woodstock, IL passed away on July 28, 2019 at Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago.   She was born in Del Rio, TX on October 4, 1939 to Harold L. and Elfriede (nee Brandenstein) Molyneux.

Sandra earned a BA in Music from TCU and worked at and retired from Texas Utilities.   In May of 1995, she and her friend, Gail, moved to Woodstock from Texas.   Sandra enjoyed life and the fresh air living in the country.  They planned, designed and transformed a wild and abused property into a little bit of heaven on earth where together they enjoyed their equestrian farm and playing with their horses and minis.  It was also this move to Woodstock that Sandra would put her talent and passion for music to serve God and bless the congregation at St. Mary’s Episcopal as their organist and choir director.  She will be greatly missed.

She leaves behind her sister, Ann Morgan (Chet) Sloan of Farmington, MO; nephews, John H. (Cyndi) Morgan of Farmington, MO, Timothy W. (Donna) Morgan of Starkville, MS, Ray (Sandy) Hunter of Fort Worth, TX, and Jim (Cindea) Hunter of San Antonio, TX; niece, Joanna Morgan Tootle of Aurora, CO; and friend & roommate, Gail Sharon Head, of Woodstock, IL.

Sandra was preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Elfriede Molyneux of Del Rio, TX and her brother, Harry L. Hunter and his wife, Myrtle, of San Antonio, TX.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 12, 2019 at 10:30am at St. Mary’s Episcopal Church, 210 McHenry Ave., Crystal Lake, IL.   Rev. Fran Holliday, Rector, will be officiating.  Interment will follow the service at St. Mary’s Churchyard.
