Alan M. Busch

Alan M. Busch, 83, of Chicago, recently of Huntley, passed away peacefully on June 16, 2024, with his family by his side. He was born on February 27, 1941 in Chicago, IL, the son of Elmer and Grace Busch. 

On July 31, 1965, he married Marguerite Susan Busch, the love of his life. They enjoyed traveling, getting together with lifelong friends, events at Del Webb, family parties, being with the grandkids and visiting their Florida Home. 

Alan was a Chicago police officer for over 20 years before moving into private industry. He enjoyed many clubs and organizations, including Knights of Columbus, The Sons of Norway, The Elks, The Masons and the Fraternal Order of Police. 

Alan is survived by his daughters, Christine (Mike) Chialdikas and Cheryl (Matthew) Smith; his 6 grandchildren, Michael, Elizabeth, William, Katherine, Alec and Erin.

Alan was preceded in death by his wife, Susan; his parents; and by his siblings, Jim, Albert, Chuck and Shirley.

A memorial gathering for Alan will be held on Wednesday, July 17, 2024 from 9:30 AM until the time of Mass at 10:30 AM at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, 33 S. Buesching Rd., Lake Zurich. Interment will be private.
