Albert Poirier

Albert passed away unexpectedly July 9, 2023 in Dyer, IN. He was born December 13, 1960 in Canada to Albert and Bernadette (Lavertue) Poirier. Albert is survived by his children, Cory and Juliette Poirier; partner, Loraine Benifiel; siblings, Michel, Jean, Claude, Francine, Guy, and Danielle. He was preceded in death by his son, Alexandre; brother, Andre; and his parents.

Albert was a loving, caring and devoted dad and partner to Loraine Benifiel, his children Cory and Juliette Poirier.

During Albert’s childhood and teen years he played hockey and was a left handed pitcher in baseball.

Albert worked at Indeck in Wheeling, IL for 21 years as their Procurement Director and also did many other duties beyond his job description.

During any freetime he enjoyed playing golf, riding his bike, and playing board games or games on his phone such as Trivia Crack! He absolutely loved watching hockey and following his beloved Habs. He loved to spend time with his children and Loraine’s sons as well.

Albert was a kind, generous, and helpful person who put others' needs before his own. He will always be remembered for his acts of kindness to others. This selfless man who passed left cherished memories that will live on forever in the hearts of those who were lucky enough to know him.

Visitation will be from 4pm until the funeral service at 7:30pm, Thursday July 20 at Davenport Family Funeral Home, 941 S. Old Rand Road, Lake Zurich.
