Albert "Butch" R. Johnson

Albert R. Johnson passed away peacefully February 4, 2024 in Woodstock. He was born July 7, 1939 in Chicago to Charles and Alice Johnson.

Al was an electrician at the Federal Reserve Bank in Chicago until his retirement in 2014. He enjoyed traveling, football, Nascar racing, going to Cubs games, and spending time with his family and friends. He is survived by his wife and partner of over 30 years, Michelle, whom he married July 26, 2004; grandchildren, Desere Cali, Amber (Christian) Lang, Danielle (Rob) Lawrence, Trevor Matthei, and Regan Matthei; and great grandchildren, Grace Simon, Blakelyn, Espen, and Demi Lang, Alison Lawrence, and new baby Lawrence to be. Al was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Melville Johnson; sister, Alice (Pat) Johnson; twin sister, Aberta Cooper; son, Albert C. Johnson; and daughter, Denise Meyer.

Memorial visitation will be from 11am until the memorial service at 1:30pm Thursday February 8 at Davenport Family Funeral Home, 941 S. Old Rand Road, Lake Zurich
