Alice Rieke, a lifelong resident of Barrington was born January 9, 1920, she passed away August 24, 2017 at her home.
The graveside service and interment for Alice Rieke, 97, will be held at 1:30 PM, Wednesday, August 30, 2017 at Evergreen Cemetery, Barrington.
Alice was united in marriage to Leslie “Les” Rieke on January 31, 1942 at St. Paul United Church of Barrington. Together, they worked on the farm on Oakdene Road in Barrington Hills, until they later resided on Main St. in Barrington. She was also a caterer in the Barrington area for many years. Alice and Les celebrated 67 years of marriage until his death in 2009.
Alice is survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents and siblings.
