Amrik Singh

Amrik Singh, 80 years of age and resident of Waukegan, Illinois, passed away peacefully on June 12, 2025, in Highland Park.

Amrik was born on April 5, 1945, in India, to the late Gurdeep (Kaur) and Piara Singh. In 1964, he was united in marriage to the late Harjinder Kaur. She preceded him in death on April 16, 2011.

He is survived by his sons Gurbrinder (Rebecca Kaur) Singh and Bhupinder (Sarvjeet Kaur) Singh; grandchildren Amrit, Manroop, Nora, Veena, Gurleen, and Parmleen; brother Bakhsish Singh, nieces and nephews Dharmender, Navjot, Satinder, Charanjit, Amarjit, Raj, and Pammi; sisters-in-law Gurdeep Kaur and Devinder (Kashmir Singh) Kaur; brothers-in-law Surjit Singh, Amarjit Singh, and Sukhjinder Singh; as well as other relatives and many friends.

Amrik was preceded in death by his loving wife Harjinder Kaur; parents Gurdeep (Kaur) and Piara Singh; and sister Jasbir Kaur.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 19, 2025, at Davenport Family Funeral Home, 941 South Old Rand Road, Lake Zurich, IL 60047, beginning at 9 a.m. with a time of service at 10 a.m.
