Andrew C. Matienzo

Andrew C. Matienzo, 51, of Wauconda, passed away from cancer complications on March 14, 2023. He was born on March 8, 1972 in Cainta, Philippines to Archangel and Alita Matienzo.

Andrew played hard with his weekend paintball crew, toiling around the house to improve security, avid gym goer, as well as working hard in his chosen profession. He had been with Northshore University Healthsystem for 15 years taking on various positions. He kept his mind busy with work up until the very end. He always had to be doing something and wasn't comfortable just sitting still.

Andrew will be deeply missed by his loving wife, Carter and their children; Octavian age 5 and Kira age 3, as well as Nathan age 15 from a previous marriage; his parents Alita and Archangel Matienzo; his siblings, Aileen Matienzo, AnnaLiza Hierl and her husband Jon Hierl and lastly his youngest sister Armi Matienzo.

He was preceded in death by his youngest daughter with Carter,  Emera. She was watching over her father and is with him now.

Services will be held privately by the family.
