Andrew "Thomas" McCarthy

Andrew “Thomas” McCarthy, of McHenry passed away on March 4, 2023, just shy of his 82nd birthday.  He was born in Chicago on March 6, 1941 to Andrew and Mary (nee Ryan) McCarthy.

Tom was always a hard worker and provided well for his family. He loved his wife, kids and all grandchildren and would have moved mountains for any of them. He will be dearly missed by many.

He is survived by his children, Tommy (Amy) McCarthy, Kris (John) Redmond, and Keri (Pete) Weron; grandchildren, Alexa (Kyle) Blackburn, Cody, Katie, and William McCarthy, Ashley (Ben) Finfrock and Nicholas Redmond, and Emily and Sydney Weron; great grandchildren, Benton Blackburn, Olenna and Leo Finfrock; and his sister, Marie Hack.

Tom was preceded in death by his wife of thirty three years, Karen McCarthy; grandson, Nathan Redmond; and his sisters, Peggy, Pat, and Betty.

A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, March 15, at 11am at All Saints Catholic Cemetery, Des Plaines.   A luncheon is planned at the home of his granddaughter, Ashley Finfrock at 2:30pm.
