Angela D. Riordan, 78, of Montello, WI, passed away on February 4, 2024. Angela's life was a testament to her strength, compassion, and unwavering faith.
Her journey in life was shared with her devoted husband, Gerald Riordan, whom she married on September 11, 1965, at Saints Peter and Paul Church in Cary, IL. Together, they built a life filled with love, laughter, and enduring family bonds.
She was a beloved mother to Rob Riordan of Pewaukee, WI, and Kelly Riordan-Jaeschke of Mendota Heights, MN. Angela took immense joy in her role as Nai Nai to her grandchildren, Emma and Anna Jaeschke, cherishing every moment spent with them.
Angela is also survived by her caring siblings, Emilia (James) Podzimek, Gina (James) Koepke, Lenny (Latrina) Figliola, Susan (Tim) Widen, Kevin (DiAne Vida) Riordan, and Kenneth (Diane) Riordan. Her love extended to her nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and cousins, who all held a special place in her heart.
Preceding her in death were her parents, Leonard and Carmella Figliola; sister-in-law, Janet Figliola; nephew, Kenny Riordan; cousin, Robert Figliola; and her beloved grandparents, aunts, and uncles.
Angela's life reflected her faith and dedication to her community. She was an active member of the Welcome Wagon in Brown Deer, WI, a longtime Bunco player, and a devoted second-grade CCD teacher at Our Lady of Good Hope Church in Milwaukee, WI. Her talents as an amazing cook and baker were unparalleled, bringing joy to many.
Angela's career spanned years as a beloved cook at Johnny's Supper Club in Brown Deer, WI, and as an associate at Kohl's Distribution Center in Menomonee Falls, WI. Retirement brought her over 20 joyous years on Buffalo Lake in Montello, WI, where she relished in gardening, bird watching, reading, and exploring new recipes. Angela's favorite quote, "There is always, always, always something to be grateful for," perfectly encapsulates her optimistic outlook on life.
A special thank you is extended to the staff at Our House in Portage, WI, and Agrace Hospice for their compassionate care of Angela and support to our family during her final days.
