Anita F. Goduto, 97, currently of Crystal Lake, passed away peacefully on July 4, 2026.
Born on May 21, 1929, in Chicago, Anita was the daughter of Joseph and Loretta (Chivini) DeMotto. She grew up in Chicago before moving to Mount Prospect, where she and her beloved husband, Frank, raised their family together.
Anita was a remarkable woman whose kindness touched everyone she met. She never had a bad word to say about anyone and was known for her caring heart, helping hands, and unwavering positivity. She never met a stranger, making friends wherever she went. Strong and resilient, Anita was always the first to offer help when someone was in need.
Above all else, Anita's greatest joy was her family. She was a devoted wife, loving mother, proud grandmother, and treasured great grandmother who made everyone feel welcomed, loved, and supported. Her family was the center of her life, and the example of love, strength, and generosity she leaves behind will continue to inspire them for generations.
Anita is survived by her children, Lucy (Drew) Micheles, Loretta (Bruce) Welz, and Frank (Daryl) Goduto; her grandchildren, Anthony (Kristine) Micheles, Erik (Carly) Micheles, Chris (Mary) Welz, Kimberly (Brad) Cameron, P.J. (Kinsey) Goduto, Dean Goduto, Bailey (Thomas Smith) Goduto, and Veronica (Brandon) Pearl; and her cherished great grandchildren, Briggs Cameron and Wade Smith-Goduto.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Frank, in 2006, and her son, Pasquale Goduto.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 8, from 10:30 until a service at 11:30 a.m. at Davenport Family Funeral Home and Crematory, 419 E. Terra Cotta Ave., Crystal Lake. Entombment will follow at All Saints Catholic Cemetery in Des Plaines.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or the Alzheimer's Association in Anita's memory.
