Anna Sithembile Brobbey-Kofi

Anna Sithembile Brobbey-Kofi, 24, of Algonquin, Illinois, passed away on November 6, 2024. Born on July 18, 2000, in Chicago, Anna was the beloved daughter of John Brobbey-Kofi and Gladys Shabangu.

Anna Brobbey Kofi was born in Chicago and raised in Algonquin, where she touched the lives of everyone she met with her kindness, love, and open-hearted nature. Compassionate and caring, Anna was always someone people could turn to for support, help, and understanding. The genuine love she showed to everyone that she came in contact with was outstanding and a once-in-a-lifetime feeling. She knew how to brighten up a room with her smile and laughter.

She attended Algonquin Lakes Elementary School, Algonquin Middle School, and then Dundee-Crown High School from 2014 to 2018, where her hard work and dedication allowed her to graduate a year early. Anna continued her academic journey at Northern Illinois University (NIU), earning a degree in Health Science and Counseling and Rehabilitation from 2019 to 2023. Her studies reflected her desire to help others and make a meaningful difference in the world. She brought compassion and dedication to her work as a caretaker at Bright Star, where she was loved by her colleagues and the people she cared for.

Anna was a fighter, embodying strength and resilience in every aspect of her life. She worked tirelessly toward her goals, never losing sight of the values that defined her. Her hardworking spirit and unwavering determination inspired all who knew her.

Though her time with us was far too brief, Anna’s legacy of love, compassion, and strength lives on in the hearts of those she touched. God called her home to be a new angel, but her memory remains a guiding light for her family, friends, and all who were fortunate enough to know her.

Anna had a unique gift for brightening the lives of everyone around her. She was kindhearted, loyal, and forgiving, with a sense of humor that could light up any room. Her openhearted nature, dependability, and joyful spirit made her a treasured daughter, sister, and friend.

Anna is survived by her loving parents, John and Gladys; her cherished siblings, Esther Brobbey, Enoch Brobbey, and Blessing Brobbey; and a large family who loved her deeply. She is preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Mgwaze Shabangu and Salome Dlamini, and her paternal grandparents, Stephen Moses, and Elizabeth Akwasua Gyamfua.

May her soul rest in perfect peace.
