Anna Grandolfo, age 82, passed away on February 2, 2026 after a brave and unwavering battle with cancer. She was called home to the Lord surrounded by her loved ones.
Anna was the definition of a devoted mother and Nonna— the iconic image, the true picture of an Italian nonna; she lived and breathed the title. Her deeply rooted love, family, tradition, and resilience poured into the core of her family and life. The kitchen was always in use, full of laughter, love, and good smells. The type of recipes only her love could make taste so good; a kitchen where everyone was always welcomed and fed. Her warm heart and strong spirit was truly what we all cherished.
She was the kind of woman everyone loved—someone who made people feel at ease, valued, and at home just by being herself. Her strength, generosity, and deep love for her family defined who she was.
Anna is survived by her beloved Husband, Antonio Grandolfo; children, Rachele Schneider, Giuseppe Grandolfo, and Mena Torres; her treasured grandchildren, Antonio, Angelica, Andrew, Analisa, Gabriella, Daniel, Marlena, Corrina, Valentina, and Gioia; and her adored great-grandchildren, Vincent, Vincenzo, and Nikolai, who brought her so much joy.
Though her absence leaves an immeasurable void, her love, traditions, and spirit will live on through the family she so fiercely loved and protected.
Visitation will be held at Davenport Funeral Home, 419 E. Terra Cotta Ave., Crystal Lake on Wednesday, February 4, from 4:00 p.m. until a service at 7:30 p.m.
Anna will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
