Antje Hilka Kalov, age 86, longtime resident of Long Grove, IL. Wife of the late Jerry Kalov; mother of Kenneth (Ailene) Budney and the late Kimberly (Bruce) Bozek; grandmother of Lucas and Lilly Budney and Brianna and Jayson Bozek; sister of Astrid (late Gunter) Jakel, Maike Dwyer, and Ute (Bremer); aunt of many nieces and nephew, sister-in-law of Stewart (Jaime) Kalov; dearest friend of Joan (late Marvin) Gordon and Adrienne Weiss. Antje is preceded in death by her parents, Hermann and Marget Szillat, her sister Gisele (Heck) and her brother Martin Szillat.
Antje was a devoted and loving grandmother who took great care of her grandchildren and played an important role in their lives. She generously contributed to their education and was a source of love and support.
Antje was deeply committed to philanthropy and supported numerous causes close to her heart, with special dedication to the Infant Welfare Society. Her kindness, compassion, and commitment to helping others were a meaningful part of the legacy she leaves behind.
A memorial service will be planned to honor and celebrate Antje’s life. Details will be shared as they become available. Please check back to this website for updates.
