Arthur D. Kupitz

Arthur Donald Kupitz, age 94, passed away on Monday, July 20, 2026, in Crystal Lake, IL. He was born on February 26, 1932, in Chicago, IL to Walter Hugo Rheinholt and Frances (Schmidt) Kupitz. He graduated from high school and went on to study at college but ultimately decided to serve in the United States Air Force. Following the Air Force, Arthur went into sales in the engineering industry. His time in this career was mainly spent at Magnaflux and Karden Sales.

It was through friends that he met his lovely bride, Peggy. The two married in 1988 and shared many wonderful years together. Arthur enjoyed spending time with his family and cherished every moment. He was a wonderful father, grandfather, and great grandfather. He deservingly earned the nickname, “Snack Meister”, raiding the baking supplies, picking the marshmallows out of the Lucky Charms, and snatching sweet treats wherever he could find them. He was always there to lend a helping hand, and he could fix just about anything with a hammer and duct tape if you needed. He enjoyed all things Chicago-sports, cheering on the Blackhawks, Bears, and Cubs. His family will miss him deeply.

Arthur is survived by his beloved wife, Peggy; sons, Kurt Kupitz and Kevin (Susan) Kupitz; grandchildren, Ken (Laura) Kupitz and Steve (Jenny) Kupitz; great-grandchildren: Karter, Kaden, Logan, and Leila; and other extended family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Frances Kupitz; sister, Eleanor Kupitz; brother, Wilbur Kupitz; and daughter, Kimberly Kupitz.
