Arthur Gerard Pollasky Jr., age 72, of Crystal Lake, Illinois, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by family, on October 25, 2025.
Arthur’s life was firmly rooted in faith and family, the two pillars that guided everything he did. He lived each day with trust in God and a steadfast commitment to doing what was right. His faith shaped how he loved, worked, and led, and his moral compass never wavered.
Arthur married the love of his life, Mary Pollasky, on June 24, 1977. The two first met in grade school, reconnected years later in college, and built a life together grounded in faith, laughter, and enduring love. Their home radiated warmth and welcome, a place where family always came first and friends were treated like family. Their marriage was a true partnership marked by respect, devotion, and joy, and Arthur missed Mary deeply after her passing in 2021.
A devoted husband, father, son, brother, and grandfather, Arthur led by example, guided by the strength of character that shaped his life. Family was the center of his world, and he showed it daily through his presence, humor, and unwavering love. He had a gift for bringing people together, filling ordinary days with laughter, teasing, and unforgettable nicknames. His booming voice, quick wit, and generous heart made everyone feel at home.
Over his 46-year tenure with Snap-On Tools, Arthur earned broad respect as a leader and mentor whose work ethic and integrity left a lasting mark. Beyond his career, he loved learning and sharing history, enjoyed the precision of marksmanship, and took great pride in his love of country. His patriotism ran deep, rooted in gratitude for the freedoms and values he held dear.
Arthur is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Mary Pollasky; his parents, Arthur Gerard Pollasky Sr. and Jeanne Anne Pollasky; Karen Pollasky, who became a devoted mother to him after Jeanne’s passing; and his brother, Keith Pollasky (Erika).
He is survived by his loving children, Mike Pollasky (Amy), Anne Contreras (Pablo), Susie Malkowski (Ryan), and Claire Pollasky (Nathan); his cherished grandchildren, Conner Pollasky, Kalena Peters, Cambria Peters, Cassius Peters, John Philip LaBuy, Lisa LaBuy, and Ava Malkowski; his brothers, Mark Pollasky (Heidy) and Scott Pollasky (Melissa); and many nieces and nephews.
Arthur will be remembered for his faith, his character, and the love he gave so freely. His steady hand and natural humor were a bright light and gifts to those around him. His devotion to God and family was his life’s greatest achievement, and though his voice has quieted, his wisdom and love will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. We take comfort knowing Arthur is home with God and reunited with Mary.
