Barbara "Bobbie" Lynn Hixson

Barbara “Bobbie” Lynn Hixson, 77, of Barrington Hills, passed away peacefully on June 2, 2025. She was born on February 25, 1948 in Tuxedo, NY to David Bender and Barbara Page.

Bobbie was a dedicated volunteer and active parishioner at St. Anne’s Church for more than 40 years. Among her many volunteer roles, she taught Confraternity of Christian Doctrine (CCD), sang in the St. Anne’s Funeral Choir, was a Eucharistic Minister, and a Minister of Care. One of Bobbie’s proudest accomplishments was serving as an Election Judge for Illinois. She loved music, singing, and art; was an avid animal-lover; and adored children.

Bobbie will be deeply missed by her loving husband, David; children, Schoenly Hixson (John Palmer), and Peter Hixson; grandchildren Lily Palmer, Charlie Palmer, Wren Raddatz-Hixson, David Verboom; sister Cathy Ciccone; and brother Colonel Dr. Neil Page.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Sarah Elizabeth Sinclair Hixson.

Visitation will be Friday, June 20, 2025 from 9 AM until the memorial mass at 10:30 AM at Saint Anne Catholic Community, 120 Ela St. (Corner of Franklin and Ela Sts.) Barrington.
