Barbara Janice Holt

Barbara Janice Holt, 71, passed away after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer.. She was born on September 2, 1954, to Jerome and Ann Pribilski, who preceded her in death.

Barbara was also preceded in death by her beloved husband, Lonnie Holt, who passed away many years before her, and by her older brother, Michael Pribilski, who passed away in 2019. Michael is survived by his wife, Janey.

Barbara is survived by her sister, Laurel Burda (Randy Karlsen); her niece, Amy Valenziano (Jamie) and their daughter, Skylar; and her nephews, Brian Burda and Kevin Burda (Michelle) and their son, Hayden.

Though Barbara had no children of her own, she valued time spent with her family and was proud of her nieces, nephews, and their families.

Barbara found joy in life's simple pleasures. She loved spending time antique shopping with her sister, Laurel, always enjoying the hunt for unique treasures and the memories they made together. The many vacations the sisters shared over the years were among Barbara's happiest times, creating lasting memories that Laurel will always cherish.

One of Barbara's greatest joys was her beloved dog, Amber, who was her faithful companion for the past seven years. Barbara treasured their daily walks and loved taking Amber to the dog park, where they spent countless happy hours together. Over the years, she made several friends at the dog park, and those friendships brought her great happiness. Amber brought her unwavering companionship, comfort, and happiness.

Barbara enjoyed getting to know her neighbors in her condominium building and, over the years, formed special bonds with several of them. She appreciated their friendship, kindness, and the sense of community they shared.

In accordance with Barbara's wishes, she was cremated. No formal funeral services will be held. Her family plans to celebrate her life with a private memorial gathering on Mackinac Island at a future date.
