Barbara Kohlhase

Barrington, Illinois,Barbara E. Kohlhase, 89, of Barrington, IL, died peacefully on Wednesday, April 13, 2011, in Barrington. She was born on December 18, 1921 in Jefferson, WI, to Charles H. and Gwendolen (nee May) Bullwinkel. A graduate of the University of Wisconsin, Barbara was an avid reader, loved nature, and was active in community organizations and her church; she was considered by all to be a very caring person. Barbara married Frank A. Kohlhase on April 9, 1947, in Jefferson, WI, later moving to Barrington, IL where she lived from 1952 until her passing. Barbara is survived by her children, Donald D. (Linda) Kohlhase, William R. (Kathleen) Kohlhase, Gwen M. (David) Diaz and Robert C. (Sandra) Kohlhase; grandchildren, Kimmie, Christine, Michael, Emily, Michael, Isabella, Stephen, Anna, Daniel and Geoffrey; and great-grandchildren, Matthew, Sean, Nicholas and Ryan. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents and sister, Elizabeth Rosell. Visitation will be held Monday, April 18, from 10am until the 11am service at St. Michael?s Episcopal Church, 647 S. Dundee Ave., Barrington, IL, 60010. Interment at Evergreen Cemetery will follow the service.
