Barbara Ann (Gross) Kurtz

Barbara Ann Kurtz, of Crystal Lake, passed away peacefully at home on Friday, March 20, 2020 just 6 days shy of her 85th birthday.  Barb battled several health issues over the past few years.

She was a loving and devoted mother and grandmother.  As a Born Again Christian, Barb was committed to her beliefs and stood strong in her faith.   She was a longtime employee of Centegra Health System and enjoyed her coworkers.   Barb had many wonderful friends and she loved all children and animals.  She enjoyed traveling and was a huge Country Western music fan.  Barb will truly be missed by so many.

Barb is survived by her children, Diane Kurtz, of Crystal Lake and Sam (Connie) Goldberg, of Woodstock; grandchildren, Sarah Goldberg, of Woodstock and Joshua (McKenzie) Goldberg, of Spotsylvania, VA; great grandchildren, Ethan, Brady and Rachel; brother, Steve (Linda) Gross, of Hampshire; and her faithful dog companion, Fancy.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Alton and Mary Gross; brothers, Alton Jr., Ronnie and Gary; daughter, Sissy; and grandson, Jason.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
