Barbara J. (Rozanski) Zonca

Barbara J. Zonca (nee Rozanski), age 74, passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, September 13, 2023.

Barbara was born in Chicago, IL on March 25, 1949. Barbara lived in Crystal Lake for over 50 years where she raised a family and worked at Prairie Grove Elementary and District 47 schools as a food service worker. She was a devoted wife and mother, an excellent cook, and incredible hostess who loved celebrating holidays, birthdays, and other major life events with family. Barbara enjoyed many years camping and boating and being outdoors. Her greatest joy was being Nana. She was there for all the milestones, sporting events, and dance recitals. She loved her family dearly and was loved in return.

Barbara is survived by her beloved husband of 50 years, Gerald Zonca; loving children, Jennifer (Joseph) Ingraffia, Steven (Ramona) Zonca, and Keith Zonca; granddaughter, Afton Ingraffia; sister Felicia Marino; and sisters-in-law, Beverly Rozanski and Barbara Ruks, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by her parents, Eugene and Evelyn Rozanski; brother, Wesley Rozanski; sister, Letitia (John) Dziura, and brother-in-law, Bruce Ruks.

A visitation for Barbara will be held from 4pm until 8pm on Monday, September 18, 2023 Davenport Family Funeral Home and Crematory, 419 E. Terra Cotta Ave. (Rte. 176), Crystal Lake, IL 60014. A second visitation will be held at the funeral home the following morning from 10 am until prayers at 11 am followed by a 12 pm funeral mass at Transfiguration Catholic Church, 316 W Mill St Wauconda, IL.
