Bart J. Mosele

Bart Jude Mosele, 55, of Barrington, passed away peacefully after a courageous ten year battle with esophageal cancer. Through countless surgeries, rounds of chemotherapy, and radiation, he never stopped fighting. He remained resilient until the very end, surrounded by his loving wife, children, siblings, and his devoted dogs, Stormi and Daisy.

Bart is survived by his wife of 24 years, Allison; children, Amelia “Mia”, Luke, Charlotte, and Chloe; mother, Phyllis and (late) John Mosele; siblings John (late JoAnne) Mosele, Tom (Beth) Mosele, Mary Kay (John) Howell, Julie (Guy) Green, Philip (Joan) Mosele, Andrea (late Steve) Soler, Elaine Stolpe, Tad (Jan) Mosele, Paul (Samantha) Mosele, Rocky (Patty) Mosele and Randall (Christi) Wood; father-in-law Ed Held; and many many many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his beloved niece Julia, sister-in-law JoAnne, father John Mosele, brother-in-law Steve Solar, and mother-in-law Lucy Held.

A self‑taught chef from a young age, Bart grew up as the 11th of 12 children in the lively Mosele household of Northfield, Illinois. His parents, Phyllis and the late John Mosele, created a home that was bustling, warm, and full of love. With so many siblings — John, Tom, Mary Kay, Julie, Philip, Andrea, Elaine, Tad, Paul, Rocky, and Randall — there was never a quiet moment. The house was filled with laughter, spirited debates, and the kind of camaraderie that only comes from a big family.

A true renaissance man and the undeniable life of every gathering, affectionately known as “The Barty Party,” Bart lived vibrantly. He poured his energy into passions like cooking and entertaining, music, golf, and fishing, always bringing joy to those around him. Bart also built a remarkable professional career, working at Gartner, ADP, IBM, Chally Group, and most recently LinkedIn, where he thrived as a sales consultant. In every role, Bart was more than a colleague — he was a trusted advisor, a trailblazer full of innovation and a dear friend. His warmth, humor, and generosity made him beloved by coworkers, and he forged lasting friendships that extended far beyond the office. Whether mentoring teammates, sharing a laugh, or organizing gatherings, Bart’s professional life reflected the same spirit that made him the heart of his family and community.

An avid golfer, Bart found joy on the course and rarely missed his standing Sunday morning tee time. He loved sharing tips, offering encouragement, and striking up friendships with fellow golfers along the way. Beyond the fairways, some of his happiest moments were spent in Naples, Florida with his family — fishing, golfing, cooking, swimming, and soaking in the ocean air. His favorite ritual was gathering at the beach for sunset, eyes fixed on the horizon in hopes of catching the elusive green flash.

Of all Bart’s accomplishments, the role he cherished most was being Alli’s husband and dad to Mia, Luke, Charlotte, and Chloe. Nothing brought him greater joy than sharing everyday moments with them cooking favorite meals together, traveling as a family, golfing side by side, or heading off to Indian Princess and Indian Guides campouts. He loved gathering around bonfires with neighbors, laughing, telling stories, and simply being present. For Bart, the best memories were always the ones made together.
