Bernadine Gitzinger

Bernadine Gitzinger, 81, of Fox Lake, IL passed away Saturday, February 11, 2023.

Bernadine was born September 19, 1941 in Chicago, IL to the late Anthony and Irene Rose.

In 1962, she married the love of her life that she met in grade school, the late Robert Gitzinger. Together, they had five children; John (Laurie), late Jim Gitzinger, Mike (dear friend Noel), Anthony, and Laura. She is survived by her grandchildren; Nick Gitzinger, Joe Gitzinger, James (Riley) Krausen, Stephanie (Will) Bolten, Jace Gitzinger,  Tony Flood, Eloise Mercure; and sister, Sister Renee Rose DC.

She is preceded in death by her parents, sister, brother, son, and granddaughters, Alysha and Emma Gitzinger.

Bernadine was a devoted mother and grandmother. She will be missed by her family, dear friend Anita Ashmus, and all her friends from Leisure Village.

Visitation will be held Thursday, February 16, 2023 from 10am till the time of a memorial service at 1pm at  Davenport Family Funeral Home and Crematory 419 E. Terra Cotta Ave, Crystal Lake, IL.
