Brian Chrystal

Chicago, Illinois,Brian Jerome Chrystal Mass of Christian Burial for Brian Jerome Chrystal, 43, of Chicago, will be said Monday, January 4, 2010 at 10am at St. Anne Church, corner of Ela and Franklin Streets, Barrington where he will lie in state from 9am until the time of Mass. Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 3, 2010 from 3-8pm at Davenport Family Funeral Home, 149 W Main St. (Lake-Cook Rd.), Barrington. Interment will be private at All Saints Cemetery, Des Plaines. He was born July 7, 1966 in Chicago and passed away peacefully, December 30 2009 at his home. He brought beauty to so many though his work as a horticulturist with the Garfield Park and Lincoln Park Conservatories. His nurturing spirit will be deeply missed by his large extended family. Survivors include his mother, Eleanor I. nee Moore, Chrystal; siblings, Maureen (Michael Neff) Chrystal, Patricia (Charles) Goetz, Margaret (Steven) Carlson, John Michael, James (Nancy), Kathleen (Christopher) Piazzi, Jean (John) Benson, Ellen (Martin) Forgarty, Anne (Steven) Tomlin. He was a devoted and fun-loving uncle to 35 nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, John Joseph Chrystal and a sister, Eileen Marie Chrystal. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Aids Foundation of Chicago, 200 W Jackson Blvd, Ste. 2200 Chicago, IL 60606.
