Bridget Lynn Boix, 67, of Fleming Island, Florida, passed away on December 3, 2025, at Good Shepherd Hospital in Barrington, Illinois. She was a cherished daughter, sister, friend, and auntie. Deeply loved by friends and family alike, her happy, caring spirit will be greatly missed.
Born August 12, 1958, in Fort Sill, Oklahoma, Bridget grew up in the Chicago area. She graduated from the University of Illinois with a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and a Masters in Communications. Bridget worked in both the public and private sectors in Telecommunications and Finance before founding the company Krill Northgate in 1994, a strategic consulting firm serving high-level corporations in multiple fields across the U.S.
In her later years, Bridget became a talented artist, joyfully working in pencil, watercolor, acrylics and chalk. She loved spending time with her father and her friends, being auntie to her “adopted” nieces, collecting artistic glass, reading classic and modern books, playing piano, doting on her pets, and traveling and shopping with her friends. Bridget was passionate about the care and decorating of her home, which reflected her colorful, joyous personality, and making sure everyone who crossed her threshold felt welcome. In recent years, she kept her Christmas tree up all year for its ability to bring light and cheer to her and her guests.
Bridget is survived by her father, Richard Clay Schoppert of Barrington, Illinois, and preceded in death by her mother, Marguerite Simpson Schoppert, and sister, Leslie Schoppert.
A private Celebration of Life will be held by family and friends in Fleming Island in February 2026. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Bridget’s memory to the American Lung Association.
