Bruno J. Marczyk (Sunny), age 86, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, October 25, 2022.  Bruno was a graduate of Weber High School and was active in Weber’s alumni relations. He continued his education at Loyola University where he earned a BS in Management. Bruno began his career at LaSalle National Bank and remained in the banking industry eventually joining American National Bank and Gladstone Savings and Loan until his retirement.

Early on, Bruno found a love of baseball; his favorite team, the St Louis Cardinals. It was around  this time, Bruno realized that he had a talent for the game and in his early years spent many weeknights and weekends playing in softball games and tournaments throughout Chicagoland. Years later, after starting a family and moving to the suburbs, he shared his love and talent for the game as coached his sons and many a Little Leaguer in Barrington.

Bruno and the love of his life, Marlene shared a love of travel and visited many regions of the US tying most trips to a visit to a family member living nearby. Whether it was baseball, soccer, volleyball or gymnastics, Bruno would often be seen on the sideline or in the stands supporting his grandchild’s team.
