Carlene Dwyer

Carlene Dwyer, beloved mother, devoted spouse, and cherished friend, was a remarkable woman whose warmth, intelligence, and humor touched everyone who knew her.

She had a passion for sewing, cooking, gardening, and caring for her beloved dogs, and her home was always filled with love, laughter, and the comforting aroma of her kitchen creations.

As a mother, Carlene was extraordinary. She raised her daughters, Catherine and the late Caroline, with strength, courage, and grace. She faced life’s challenges with independence and resilience, particularly as a single mother after the loss of her husband, John Dwyer. Carlene’s dedication to her family was evident in every act of kindness, sacrifice, and guidance she offered.

Her family remembers her as brave, smart, funny, and endlessly loving—a woman who put others before herself and inspired those around her with her generous spirit.

Carlene is survived by her daughter, Catherine Dwyer, and was preceded in death by her daughter, Caroline Dwyer, and her spouse, John Dwyer.

She will be deeply missed, forever remembered, and always cherished by those who knew her.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, February 7, from 10am until a service at 12pm at Davenport Family Funeral Home, 149 W. Main St., Barrington.  Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery.
