Carmen Mercado, 73, of Fox River Grove, went to sleep with the Lord on Sunday, January 22, 2017. She was born July 25, 1943 in Mexico to Manuel and Maria Elena (Carranza) Rodriguez.
Carmen is survived by her husband, Manuel Mercado; her children, Maria (Benjamin) Lopez, Leticia (Lazaro) Elizondo, Cuca (Alberto) Flores, Juana (Alberto) Cerritos, Jose (Anita) Mercado, Norma (Ismael) Nuno, Hugo (Cachy) Mercado, Gerardo (Carolina) Mercado, Cesar (Vanessa) Mercado, and Carmen Mercado; 27 grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; and her siblings, Vicenta Ortiz, Petra Rodriguez, Isabel Rodriguez, Maria Valdez, Laudencio Rodriguez, Jose Rodriguez, Juanita Medellin, Luisa Rodriguez, and Manuela Rodriguez.
She is preceded in death by her parents.
The family will receive guests from 3-9pm, Wednesday, January 25, 2017 at Davenport Family Funeral Home, 419 E. Terra Cotta Ave., Crystal Lake. Mass of Christian Burial will be said at 11am, Thursday, January 26, 2017 at Saints Peter and Paul Parish, 410 N. 1st St, Cary, IL. Burial will be at Queen of Heaven, Hillside.
