Carol L. Acosta, 71, of Marengo, formerly of Crystal Lake, died Monday, February 1, 2010, at her home. She was born on June 9, 1938, in Milwaukee. Carol retired from Seaquist Perfect in Cary, where she had worked for over 35 years. She enjoyed spending time with her family and her dog, Tippy. Carol was especially proud of all of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Survivors include her husband, Amado; children, Sandra Pinner of Bloomingdale and Mark (Eileen) Overbye of Cary; step-daughters, Debbie, Barbara, Judy, and Nancy (nee Olson); step-sons, Felix and Armando Acosta; grandchildren, Nicole Davila, Adam Diaz, Chris Pinner, and Dakota Overbye; and many step-grandchildren; brother, Wayne (Mary) Zimmerman; and son-in-law, John Diaz. She was preceded in death by her children, David Overbye and Linda Diaz; husband, Walter Olson; siblings, Judy Brunner and Jim Zimmerman; and parents, Elroy and Loretta Zimmerman. The visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the funeral at 12:30 p.m., Friday, February 5, 2010, at the Davenport Family Funeral Home, 419 E. Terra Cotta Ave (Rte. 176), Crystal Lake. Interment will be in Windridge Memorial Park, Cary.
