Casey Joseph Deibel

Casey Deibel, of Oakwood Hills, passed away unexpectedly on August 19, 2026, his 45th birthday, following a long and valiant health battle. He was born on August 19, 1981, in Barrington, Illinois, to Karen (nee Kovarik) and Scott Deibel.

Casey was a man who enjoyed keeping busy and always had something to tinker with. A talented mechanic, he loved figuring out how things worked and finding ways to fix or improve them. He also had an entrepreneurial spirit and was always looking for his next big idea or the opportunity that might just “hit it big.”

Music was another passion of Casey’s, and he especially enjoyed playing guitar. He also loved spending time outdoors and was happiest around the water. Kayaking and swimming at the lake were among his favorite ways to enjoy the warmer months. He also took great pleasure in riding his e-bike and exploring wherever the road might take him.

Casey met his wife, Kristy, through their mutual circle of friends, and the two immediately hit it off. They were married on February 12, 2005, and together they built a life filled with love, laughter, and countless memories. Casey was a devoted husband and proud father to their two daughters, who were the center of his world.

Casey was also a member of the Moose Lodge #1329 in Woodstock, where he enjoyed the camaraderie and friendships he found there.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Kristy; his two daughters, Addy and Emmy; his parents, Karen and Scott Deibel; his sister, Shelle (Salvatore) Sardina; nieces, Siciliana "Silly" Sardina, Amber and Ashley Westerlund; his sister-in-law, Kelly (Darwin) Westerlund; father-in-law, Dave Vos; and by his cherished German Shepherds, Winston and Mae.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Joseph and Eileen Kovarik, paternal grandparents, Steve and Fannye Deibel; his mother-in-law, Margaret Vos.

A celebration of life will be held from 12pm to 4pm on Sunday, September 27, 2026 at the Woodstock Moose Lodge, 406 Clay St, Woodstock, IL 60098.
