Catherine "Frankie" Kelly

Catherine "Frankie" Kelly, 96, of Huntley, formerly of Lake Zurich, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on June 20, 2025. Born on December 21, 1928, in Stone, Kentucky, Frankie was the daughter of Daniel and Annie O'Hare.

On July 3, 1954, she married the love of her life, George Louis Kelly. Together, they shared 26 years of marriage before George's passing in July 1980. Their love, devotion, and partnership created a foundation of cherished memories for their seven children, who were the pride and joy of Frankie’s life.

Frankie was a woman of simple pleasures and deep passions. She found joy in the little things, like spending long, peaceful hours fishing alongside George at the McHenry Dam, an activity that brought her immense peace and contentment. She also enjoyed the social aspects of life, whether that was the friendly competition of Bingo or a spirited game of bowling.

Frankie will be deeply missed by her loving children, Dan (Debbie) Kelly, Maureen (Tom) Panattoni, Joe (Katy) Kelly, Paul (Cheryl) Kelly, Mike (Bobbie) Kelly; grandchildren, Jason Kelly, and Daniel Kelly, Jacki O'Keefe, Rich Panattoni and Nick Panattoni, George Kelly, Kristin Steiner, Sean Kelly, Joe Kelly, Carmella Vucic, Paul Kelly, Michelle Kelly and Michael Kelly; great grandchildren, Evelyn, Brody, Owen, Emma, Aiden, Brylee, Zaylee, Padyn, Brody, Kian, Sawyer, Parker, Tarah, Shaylee, Brayden, Jayden, Gray and Poppy, Olivia, Morgan.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, her siblings, her children, Sharon and George Kelly and by her granddaughter, Sarah Kelly.

Visitation will be Saturday, June 28, 2025 from 9 AM until the funeral service at 10:30 AM at Davenport Family Funeral Home and Crematory, 941 S. Old Rand Rd., Lake Zurich, IL 60047. Interment to immediately follow at Windridge Memorial Park, Cary.
