Catherine "Cathy" M. Pontarelli Catherine "Cathy" M. Pontarelli, 53, of Cary, died Saturday, January 24, 2010. She was born January 18, 1957, in Chicago to George and Norine (nee Clark) Pontarelli of Crystal Lake. Catherine currently worked at Follett Library Resources in McHenry, as a customer service representative and loved to travel. She was a graduate of Mother Guerin High School in River Grove. In addition to her parents, Catherine is survived by her siblings, Mary (Dave) Vaverek of Crystal Lake and Jim Pontarelli of Fennville, MI; nephew and niece, Bryan (Amber) Vaverek and Carolyn (Austin) O?Connor; and her companions, Rusty and Bella. She was preceded in death by her sister, Carol Pontarelli; and grandparents, Catherine and Ray Clark and Maria and Harry Pontarelli. Memorial visitation will be Saturday, January 30,2010, from 10 a.m. until the time of Mass at 11 a.m., at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 451 W. Terra Cotta Ave. (Rte. 176), Crystal Lake. Monsignor Daniel Hermes will officiate. Inurnment will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Catherine?s name may be made to St. Thomas Outreach, 272 King, Crystal Lake IL 60014.
