Chris W. Welky

Chris W. Welky, 68, of Barrington, died on January 20, 2026, with his family by his side.

Chris was born in Chicago on January 21, 1957, to parents Walter and Lorraine (nee Kasperski) Welky. He met Wendy Wagner in 2012, and the couple were married on June 10, 2023.

Chris was a hard worker, owning his own security business, as well as volunteering for the Barrington Fire Department. He was a jack of all trades and would help wherever he could. An all-around good guy, he enjoyed a good meal and cheering for the Chicago Bears. He will be missed dearly by all who knew him.

Chris is survived by his beloved wife, Wendy Wagner, his children, Christina (Joey) Fedjur, Erica (Alex Gonzalez) Wagner-Gonzalez, and Andrew (Natalie Landgraff) Wagner, and his sister, Leah (Jack) Sales.

Visitation will be Friday, January 23, 2026, from 9:30 a.m. to time of Memorial Mass 10:30 a.m. all at Mount St. Joseph, 24955 N U.S. Hwy 12, Lake Zurich, IL 60047.
