Connor Joseph Kovanda

Connor Joseph Kovanda, 28 of Lake Zurich, passed away suddenly on February 11, 2026 in Buffalo Grove. He was born on December 3, 1997 to Keith R. and Teresa J. (nee Jacobs) Kovanda.

Connor was a 2016 graduate of Lake Zurich High School where he was an active member of the bowling team.

After high school he began his career with Flex and from them earned his degree in Mechatronics. In his free time, Connor enjoyed fishing, playing frisbee golf, and cooking with his mom. He was also an accomplished bowler having achieved 5 perfect 300 games over the course of his bowling career.

Connor is survived by his parents Keith R. and Teresa J. Kovanda; brothers, Jonny & Joey Kovanda; nephew, JJ Kovanda; maternal grandmother Judy Jacobs; aunts and uncles, Kathy (Matt) Szamocki, Kristina (Helica Gonzalez) Kovanda, Brad (Lynn) Jacobs and Mike (Lisa) Jacobs, as well as many loving cousins.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Robert (Gail) Kovanda and maternal grandfather, Robert Jacobs.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, February 15, beginning at 1 p.m. until the time of the funeral service at 5 p.m. at Davenport Family Funeral Home and Crematory, 941 S. Old Rand Rd., Lake Zurich, IL 60047.
