Dan Freeburg

Dan Freeburg, 58, of Lake Zurich passed away on June 6, 2023 surrounded by his family.  He was born in Evanston, IL to Roland and Pat Freeburg.

An avid fisherman, Dan fished wherever he could.  He loved working with his hands whether that be projects, fixing, or building –and everything was thoroughly sanded.  Dan enjoyed playing Texas Hold ‘em poker games with his friends and family.

Dan is survived by his wife of 24 years, Karin; sons, Alex and Nikolaus Freeburg; mother, Pat Freeburg; siblings, Judy (the late Tom) Igliori, Carol (Jim) Schleker, Nancy (Roger) Pettinger, Bob (Shaun) Freeburg; nieces and nephews; and his beloved dog, Farley.

He was preceded in death by his father, Roland Freeburg.

A memorial visitation will be held on Friday, June 30, from 4 until the funeral service at 6pm at Davenport Family Funeral Home and Crematory, 941 S. Old Rand Rd., Lake Zurich.
