Daniel Michael Foyet

Daniel Michael Foyet, 83, of Crystal Lake passed away on Tuesday, September 27, 2022. He was born on June 22, 1939, in Chicago.

Dan was an avid sports fan. He developed his love for baseball at a young age and made a career that led him all the way to Triple A in Gastonia, NC where he was nicknamed “The Dew” that covered Dixie for his fielding skills.

Although sports were an important part of his life, Dan’s greatest treasures were his family and friends. He will be greatly missed by his wife, Ann; daughters, Michele (Foyet) Meeks, Debbie (Foyet) Hochstatter, Terri (Foyet) Deligio, Lora Fischer, Betty Hamilton; son, Danny Foyet; seventeen grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; and his sister, Nancy Mazur.

Dan was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Lottie Foyet.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 4, from 11 am until the time of a service at 1 pm at Davenport Family Funeral Home and Crematory, 419 E. Terra Cotta Ave., Crystal Lake.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made in Dan’s name to St. Jude’s or Boys Town .
