Daniel Joseph Regillio Jr

Daniel Joseph Regillio Jr., 76 years of age and resident of Crystal Lake, Illinois, passed away peacefully on May 16, 2025.

He was born on February 21, 1949, in Chicago, Illinois, to the late Amelia (nee Salerno) and Daniel J. Regillio Sr. Dan was a devoted Christian and united in marriage and the beloved Husband to Susan (nee Niedbalec) Regillio for 57 years; loving father of Danny Regillio, Ron (April) Regillio, Brad (Kristen) Regillio, Chris (Kim) Regillio, Crystalin Regillio, and Nick (Caitlin) Regillio; grandfather of eleven: Zach, Andrew, Dylan, Chelsea, Isabella, Mia, CJ, Anthony, Bryant, Cara, and Nicky; great-grandfather of two: Maverick and Mordecai; and brother of the late Kathy Farina.

Dan was a proud public servant who dedicated much of his life to protecting and serving others.

He was a Chicago Police officer, who earned many awards and recognition and retired with the Village of Palatine.

At the heart of Dan’s life was his strong Christian faith. It shaped his values, guided his actions, and was the foundation of how he treated others with kindness, compassion, and unwavering integrity. His faith was not just something he believed; it was something he lived.

More than anything, Dan cherished his family. He was a steady, loving presence whose greatest happiness came from being surrounded by those he cared for most.

He found peace in fishing, joy in cooking, and comfort in familiar routines. A lifelong Cubs fan, he cheered for his team with loyal devotion through every season.

He will be remembered for his deep faith, his gentle strength, and the love he so freely gave. Dan’s legacy lives on in the hearts of those who were blessed to know him.

A visitation will be held on Friday, May 23, 2025, from 4 p.m. -8 p.m. with service at 6 p.m., at Davenport Family Funeral Home, 419 E. Terra Cotta Ave., Crystal Lake, IL 60014. Private interment to follow.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Dan’s name to the Regillio Family would be greatly appreciated.
