David F. Keating

David F. Keating, of Cary, passed away December 20, 2022 at the age of 80.

He was born August 22, 1942 in Chicago, the son of the late David and Dorothy Keating.

David was the first graduating class of Brother Rice High School in 1960. He served in the US Army from 1964-1967. David taught industrial arts at Barrington High School from 1971 until his retirement in 1995.

He enjoyed spending time with his family at their cabin in the UP, fishing and spending time outdoors.

David is survived by his loving wife, Patricia, and her children, Michael Berghorn and Jessica Berghorn; their grandchildren, Kody and Brianna Williams and Grace Berghorn; his sister, Kathy (Don) Finan; and his many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Bob Keating; and sister, Maureen Keating.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, December 28, 2022 from 10 a.m. until the funeral Mass at 10:30 a.m. at Ss. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, 410 N 1st St, Cary. Burial will follow at Windridge Memorial Park, Cary.
