Debra F. (Johnson) Nelson

Debra F. Nelson, 69 of Oakwood Hills passed away peacefully at her home November 5, 2021, surrounded by her loving family.  She was born May 10, 1952 in Evansville, IN to John and Dessie Johnson.

Debra is survived by her beloved husband of 50 years, Mitchell “Dan” Nelson; daughters, D’Andra Leigh (James) Wygrzyn, and Kelly Lynn Nelson (Daniel Henrickson); grandchildren, Chloe Poliakon, Anastazja and Alyssandra Wygrzyn, and Townes Mitchell Henrickson; and siblings, Jan (Tom) Gentleman, and Jeff (Kay) Johnson.  She was preceded in death by her parents.

A Celebration of Debra’s life will begin with a service from 2 PM until 3 PM, Friday, November 12, at First United Methodist Church of Crystal Lake, 236 W. Crystal Lake Ave., followed immediately by refreshments and visiting with the family until 6 PM.
