April 19, 1941 — November 6, 2023

Davenport, Lake Zurich

Delorise Diane Roe-Du Vall, 82 of Algonquin, passed away unexpectedly on November 6, 2023. She was born on April 19, 1941 to William Clyde and Mary Ann (nee Gentry) Roe in Whiting, Indiana.

On February 9, 1962, she married the love of her life in Portage, Indiana. Delorise was a devoted mom to their daughter and her 4 step-sons. Throughout her life, she had a great love of animals, especially dogs and horses, and was often horseback riding around the family farm.  Delorise loved flowers, mostly ones of her favorite color, Red, and house plants. She worked for numerous years for LaidLaw International serving as a one-on-one helper and aide to handicapped children. Delorise enjoyed playing cards or an intense round of the marble game, Wahoo, with her oldest grandson, Aaron, and enjoyed eating mashed potatoes and corn at holiday dinners with her youngest grandson, Evan. Delorise had a passion for cooking Italian cuisine and was always up to challenge herself with a tough crossword or word search puzzle. She also found a love for watching WWE Wrestling and scary movies.

She is survived by her daughter, Evonne Loreen (Kevin) Bruce; grandsons, Aaron and Evan Bruce; brother-in-law, Larry O’Dell; nephews, John (Stacie) Homan and Gary (Erika) Schumacher; and niece, Debra Ann.

Delorise was preceded in death by her loving husband of 35 years, Antonio “Tony” Marino; parents; and sisters, Margaret (Larry) Homan and Lora O’Dell.
