Dennis M. Drygal Sr.

Dennis M. Drygal Sr., 73, longtime resident of Crystal Lake, formerly of Chicago, passed away peacefully on December 19, 2022. He was born on December 31, 1948 in Chicago, IL to Mac and Juanita Drygal.

Dennis proudly served for the Chicago Police Department for 32 years. While serving on the City of Chicago Police Department, he met fellow Chicago police officer Kathleen Stuk, who later became his wife. Dennis loved history, especially US History and was a Civil War buff. He was also a professional fisherman, with his greatest passion being large-mouth bass. As an animal lover, he adopted and spoiled numerous shelter pets.

Dennis is survived by his loving wife of 31 years, Kathleen Stuk; his children, Dennis (Connie) M. Drygal Jr., Michele Drygal, Heather Manahan and Colleen Skoglund; many grandchildren, Savannah, Summer, Adriana, Anthony, Michael, Jacob, Melanie, Andrew, Isaac, Luke, and Jeremiah; and by many loving friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his son, Bryan Drygal, and his grandson, Joseph.

Visitation will be Friday, December 23, 2022, from 11 AM until 3 PM with a Celebration of life service at 3 PM at Davenport Family Funeral Home and Crematory, 419 E. Terra Cotta Ave. (Rte. 176), Crystal Lake, IL 60014. Interment will be private.
