Dianne (Miller) Bicknase

January 26, 1959 — December 30, 2022

Davenport Crystal Lake

Dianne Bicknase (nee Miller) was born on January 26, 1959. She grew up in Dearborn Heights, Michigan with her parents, brother Garry and sister Karen.

Dianne attended school in Dearborn Heights and graduated from Annapolis High School in 1977.  Dianne soon started her own family and welcomed her daughter Jennifer and son Brian. Dianne was a wonderful mother and raised two wonderful children giving them everything she possibly could. She was immeasurably proud of her children, who they have become and all that they have accomplished.  Through them she gained her son-in-law, John, and daughter-in-law, Lauren, who she loved like her own children.

Dianne moved to Lake Zurich in 1990 for new and better opportunities for her family. This move lead to great opportunities for Dianne as well. Dianne cultivated a successful banking career and was an integral part of the Lake Zurich banking and business community and Wauconda business community for over thirty years.  Dianne spent the majority of her career as a banker helping others and always going above and beyond for her customers and being so much more to so many people in the community.  Recently, Dianne spent her time working for Baird and Warner in Algonquin.

During her early days at the bank Dianne met her husband, Andy. They were good friends for years. On Christmas Eve 2003, Andy proposed to Dianne surrounded by their families (even though everyone expected him to propose a few weeks earlier on a family cruise). No one will forget Dianne celebrating their engagement and dancing in the kitchen with her dad.

In 2006, Andy and Dianne were married in Las Vegas at a beautiful ceremony at the Paris hotel followed by an incredible party surrounded by close family and friends.  They lived in Cary in a home they built together on the golf course. For
many years Andy and Dianne enjoyed traveling and playing golf together.  Together they also enjoyed spending time with their grandsons, watching football and keeping their home (especially their lawn) in beautiful condition.

In 2017 and then again in 2019 Dianne was blessed with the little loves of her life, her grandsons Leo and Jack.  It is safe to say that being a Grandma to these sweet boys was the absolute greatest joy of her life.

Dianne is also known for her special relationship with her wonderful parents, Garry and Vera Miller. She loved and cared for them in every way possible. Dianne talked to her Mom every single day.  Dianne was devastated to lose her father earlier this year.

Dianne was an incredibly hard working, dedicated and selfless person, always putting others before herself for her entire life.  She is so so so loved and will be missed by so many.

Dianne is survived by her husband, Andy; children, Jennifer (John), Brian (Lauren) and Michelle; grandchildren, Leo and Jack; siblings, Karen (Michael)and Garry (Mary); and her mom, Vera. Dianne is preceded in death by her father, Garry.

Celebration of Life will be held January 8, 2023, from 11-2pm at Cary Country Club, 2400 Grove Lane, Cary.
