Dolores Ann Berman

Dolores Ann Berman, 89, of Crystal Lake, Illinois, passed away on July 23, 2022.

Dolores was born in Rockville, CT to Donald Weir and Antoinette (nee DalPian) Pease on August 27, 1932. She graduated from Rockville High School (Vernon, CT) and obtained her bachelor’s degree in nursing at St. Francis Hospital (Hartford, CT).

Dolores was married to Donald Edward Berman on December 26, 1953 in Rockville, CT. They moved from Connecticut to Michigan when Donald left the US Navy in 1955, and lived in Westland, Wayne, and Northville, before moving to Sanford, Florida when they retired.

Dolores worked as a registered nurse for hospitals in Connecticut and Michigan, both as an operating room nurse and as a pediatric nurse in clinical practice. She joined her husband, Donald, on his work assignments for Ford Motor Company in both Venezuela and Mexico. She enjoyed traveling, arts and craft projects, and spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

Dolores will be greatly missed by her four daughters and sons-in-law: Kim Berman and Gardiner Cross of Sloansville, NY; Kathleen Berman of Port Orange, FL; Karen and Cal Armstrong of Maryville, TN; and Beth and Tom Ledray of Crystal Lake, IL. She was blessed with seven grandchildren (Cameron and Conner Armstrong, and Kendall [Armstrong] Snider; Aaron and Chandler Ledray; Andrew and Patrick Cross), and nine great grandchildren (plus one on the way).

Dolores is survived by her brothers James and David Pease. Dolores was preceded in death by her husband Donald, her brother Donald Pease, her sister Janet Schmitz, and her parents Donald and Antoinette Pease.
