Dolores "Dorie" M. Miles

Dolores “Dorie” M. Miles, 69, of Lake Zurich, formerly of Oak Park, passed away peacefully on December 13, 2022. She was born on June 10, 1953 in Chicago, IL to Richard and Dolores Compton.

She was a logician at heart – which helped her excel in her career with computers. Above all, she enjoyed spending time with families – especially at the holidays, whether coordinating the family grab bag at Christmas or hosting the Easter Egg hunt.

Dorie is survived by her loving husband of 25 years, Rodger Miles; children, Prudence (John) Schmidt, Tim (Melody) Miles; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; her mother, Dolores Compton; siblings, Dick (Mary) Compton, Jim (Liz) Compton, Mike (Katie) Compton, Therese (Tim) Strey, John (Dawn) Compton, Mary Beth (Dave) Small and Tom (Meg) Compton; and by many loving nieces, nephews and friends.

She was preceded in death by her father, Richard Compton.

Visitation will be Sunday, December 18, 2022 from 1 PM until 6 PM at Davenport Family Funeral Home and Crematory, 941 S. Old Rand Rd., Lake Zurich, IL 60047. Visitation will resume on Monday, December 19, from 9 AM until the time of prayers at 10 AM. A procession will follow to St. Francis de Sales Church, 33 S. Buesching Rd., Lake Zurich, IL 60047 for a 10:30 AM funeral mass. Interment will be private.
