Doug Oerkfitz

Douglas Lee Oerkfitz, 68, of Crystal Lake, passed away peacefully on April 5, 2023.

He was born December 23, 1954 in Crystal Lake, the son of the late Clarence and Margaret (nee Erhke) Oerkfitz.

On July 12, 1996, Doug was united in marriage to Donna M. Hill.

Doug was an avid bowler, for many years he bowled on Friday night leagues. He was also an avid Bears fan; he loved the sport. Doug also loved riding his Harley Davidson in the warmer months.

Doug will be dearly missed by his loving wife, Donna; his beloved daughter, Amanda (Justin) Hampson of Woodstock; his cherished grandchildren, Jacquelyn Renee Hampson, Justin Paul Hampson, Jr., and Robert Jacob Bognetti; and his loving siblings, Judy Pfingsten, Sharon (Don) Iversen, Larry (Helen) Oerkfitz, Pat Oerkfitz, and Marilyn Oerkfitz.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Jerry Oerkfitz, Ronald Oerkfitz; and brother-in-law, John Pfingsten.

Services for Doug will be held privately. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
