Douglas Richard Pate

Douglas Richard Pate, 33, currently of Arvada, CO, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, June 21, 2024. He was named after his father’s brother, Douglas, and his maternal grandfather, Richard.

Born in Elgin on September 24, 1990, Doug was a graduate of Grayslake Central High School. He loved football and started playing at 6 years old. He not only loved the game, but he enjoyed being around the guys and the friendships he made throughout his school years.

Doug will be remembered for his smile, his sense of humor, his willingness to help anyone, and his love of the outdoors. He loved his dog, Babe, and you’d say they were inseparable.

Survivors include his parents, Deborah (James) Perrotti and Craig (Jennifer) Pate; brothers, William (Lindsay) Hauck IV, Brent Perrotti and Jackson Pate; sister, Tiffany (Joshua) Bacon; grandfather, Dale (Judy) Pate; aunts, Christine (Ronald) Baughman, Rebecca (Michael) Grimm, Mary Lynn Felden and Cindy Elstom; and his best friends, Derek Kaye and Gil Borden.

Doug was preceded in death by his cherished grandmothers, Beverly Pate and Mary J. Felden and his grandfather, Richard L. Felden.

A visitation will be held on Sunday, June 30, from 2pm until 5pm at Davenport FamilyFuneral Home, 149 W. Main St., Barrington. Visitation will continue at the funeral home on Monday, July 1, from 10 until the time of a service at 11am. A burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery, Barrington.
