Lenz, 88, Barrington will be held at 10:30 a.m., Monday, February 22, 2010 at St Anne Catholic Church, 120 N Ela St, Corner of Franklin and Ela Sts., Barrington, where he will lie in state from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the Mass. Father Tom Bishop will officiate. Born October 11, 1921, in Barney, ND; he passed away Thursday, February 18, 2010, at Alden Estates Barrington. Burial will be at Arlington National Cemetery in Arlington, VA, Wednesday, March 10 2010 at 1 p.m. Visitation will be from 3-7 p.m. Sunday, February 21, 2010 at Davenport Family Funeral Home, 149 W Main St. (Lake-Cook Rd.), Barrington. He was a carpenter for 50+ years and a member of the Carpenters Local #839. He enjoyed mowing the lawn on his tractor, square dancing; travelling, especially to Arizona, sweets in all varieties and gardening which made him feel like he was back on the farm in North Dakota. He is survived by His wife, Rosemarie (Lesiak), seven children, Thomas (fiancée, Dianne Carter), Michael (Judith), Steven (Loralee), Leo (Martha), Paul (Marcia) Lenz, Barbara (Phillip) Walker and Richard (Maria) Lenz; grandchildren, Airmen First Class Christopher Lenz, Brian Walker and Marissa Walker; siblings, Roman, Lois, Antoinette, John, Kenneth, Charles and Joseph. He is preceded in death by his parents Leo and Anna (Lugert) Lenz; siblings, Margaret, James, Eugene and Rosemary.
